After careful consideration of the recommendations made by the Centers for Disease Control and National Institutes of Health urging social distancing measures to help flatten the curve of the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus, we are closing temporarily through mid-April, and will reassess at that time.

The library is an active and busy community hub, frequented daily by infants, elderly, and every age in between. Surface contact within the building is significant with the frequent exchange of materials, extensive handling of interactive learning tools, meetings of groups, and sharing of space.  Temporary closure is the most responsible thing for us to do as our community fights this pandemic.

During this time:
-if you have items currently checked out from the library, please continue to enjoy them until the library reopens (the book drop is closed at this time)
-no fines will be accrued throughout the closure
-please check out this website for updates, additional educational resources, e-books, etc. We will continue to share new resources here!
-if you have trouble connecting to e-books, email us at

This truly is an unfortunate situation, but it is temporary. We encourage families to use this time of social distancing as an opportunity to grow at home- connect, reflect, talk, tell stories, write, exercise creativity, and read!

We’re in this together.  Let’s protect our people.
