About Us

Winfield Public Library is dedicated to providing opportunities and an environment for life-long learning. The Library maintains an open, unbiased environment and upholds the public’s right to access to information. Located in Winfield, Kansas (aprox. pop 12,000), the Library belongs to the community and partners with other community organizations to offer our citizens a variety of educational, cultural and technical resources and opportunities.

Founded through the committment of early city leaders and the generosity of the Carnegie Foundation, The Library first opened it’s doors on January 1, 1913. In 1990 it was relocated to it’s present site at Baden Square (605 College Street).
