Film Movement Series
The Library will be featuring monthly movies that are award-winning independent and foreign films. The first movie in this series is a documentary, Mine. It is the story of the bond between animals and humans, set against the backdrop of Hurriane Katrina. This character-driven story follows New Orleans residents as they attempt the task of reuniting with their pets who have been adopted by families all over the country.
This documentary was directed by Geralyn Pezanoski. In 2009, Mine won winner of the Audience Award for Best Documentary Feature South by Southwest Film Festival. Mine is 81 min. and is viewed in English.
