Artwork by Marilyn McNeish

The Winfield Public Library is hosting an exhibition of paintings by Marilyn McNeish in the Main Hallway through April 14.

McNeish is a local artist who first began painting in 1973 when her first child went to college.  She soon began painting more and more intently and has studied with many important and talented teachers.  Her own vast talent comes through with each of her paintings on display at the library.  Subject matter on display includes birds, flowers, and more.

And important quote McNeish likes to share is:  “Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.”   ― Pablo Picasso

The artist also has her work on display at Cumbernauld Village and Southwestern College.  She has also now painted all of her grandchildren.

The library exhibit is free and open to the public.  For more information call 221-4470.
